James: A Case Study

There is a systematic process to feeling good about yourself, owning your success and connecting with your authentic self. And some people find it by accident.

Last week, James told me he had outward success; a £100M+ turnover company, a fabulous house, three cars and a motorbike.

And three years ago he was dealing with bitter divorce, betrayal by an old friend and a court case that might bankrupt him. He was unhappy and desperate, and chose to ‘open his mind to do something about it.’

James said ‘I found peace in myself and made friends with me’. But he rarely talks about it, as it sounds too ‘fluffy’. However, James’ experience is backed by plenty of unfluffy neuroscience.

Under stress, our nervous system goes into the fight/flight state or freeze state for physical self-protection. We develop a racing heartbeat and high adrenaline, or we collapse and go numb, and our mental ability to grow is greatly reduced.

We need a calm nervous system first, and then we can clear out the cause; beliefs, habitual patterns of thought etc. Only after that, are tools of mindset, visualisation and gratitude effective.

James tried many techniques, and happened to do them in the right order. He had found the deep-change process by experimenting over 2 years, and luckily he got the order just right.

The Inner Success programme takes you through these three steps in a precise series of learning, exercises and coaching. It is designed to deliver that calm, clear-minded and connected state in which you feel and own your success.
